Privacy policy

Short, because the site collects almost nothing and the application has no telemetry.

1. This website

The site is a set of static files. It sets no cookies, loads no analytics, no advertising and no third-party scripts, and uses the fonts already installed on your system. Nothing about your visit is sent to us by the pages themselves.

  • No account, no form and no newsletter: there is nothing for you to submit.
  • There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
  • Links to external sites are not embedded: you leave this site only when you click a link.

2. Server logs

Like any web server, ours records ordinary access information: the requesting address, the time, the URL requested and the user agent your browser sends. These records are used to operate the service and to investigate abuse, and they are not used for profiling or advertising.

If you need a log entry that concerns you to be removed, ask us and we will delete it where we are able to.

3. The application

CommMonitor has no telemetry and no usage reporting. The only network request it can make is an activation request, and only when you ask it to activate.

  • Online activation sends the licence key, the machine fingerprint and a timestamp to the activation endpoint you configured.
  • Offline activation produces a request file on your own disk; you decide whether to send it to us.
  • Capture data, session files and exports stay on your machine. The local dashboard binds to 127.0.0.1 only.

4. Email

If you write to the address in the footer, we keep the message and your address for as long as we need them to deal with your request and to keep a record of the licence we issued. We do not sell or share it, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

5. Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion. Write to the address in the footer and we will answer within a reasonable period. Where local law gives you additional rights, those apply as well.

6. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the release history.

Questions about data?

Write to the address in the footer and we will answer plainly.
